Hello & welcome to my Lightroom CC Classic Workflow Made Easy System .  I've been a photographer for 27+ years and have 10+ years experience with Lightroom . I've created this Lightroom workflow course based off the same system I use to edit 500 photos per hour .  You'll learn exactly what I do and use the included worksheets + checklist to create YOUR own Lightroom workflow.  Plus, I'll provide pro tips for editing faster, streamlining your Library module workflow and much more. Your Lightroom Classic workflow will be completed via 5 simple steps... ------------------- STEP 1 The most important part of any Lightroom workflow consists of a solid Data Management workflow.  Without one, you risk losing ALL your photos , metadata and edits! Imagine losing ten's of thousands or hundreds of thousands of images.  Or losing edits you've done on thousands of images over the years.  This can be avoided by creating a Data Management workflow.  This is the first step for creating your workflow.  Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not go to Step 2 until you've completed this step! Already have a Data Management workflow in place?  You may want to do the risk analysis before moving onto the other steps.  The risk analysis is designed to find any "leaks" in your current Data Management workflow .  With this data, you can then fill in the gaps for a complete Data Management Workflow. STEP 2 In this step, you'll learn how to configure Lightroom for a fast and productive workflow .  Plus, you'll learn the tools required for your Color Management workflow. Not creating a Color Management workflow can slow down your productivity.  Oh, and you'll be throwing money out the window too.  You'll learn the pitfalls of skipping this step and the tools needed for your Color Management workflow. STEP 3 This step provides you with everything you need for increasing your productivity in the Library Module!  Learn how creating your file and folder naming structure BEFORE using Lightroom is the key to your sanity. Plus, you'll learn how to use tags, like; stars, flags & labels .  Tips and suggestions for using each is provided.  Then, use the worksheet to develop your Library module workflow. Did you know adding keywords can help your images be found in Google images?  It's true.  I'll show you my images on the first page of Google , for keywords that I applied to my images.  Use keywords to be found by prospects and drive more traffic to your website . Then, you'll learn about 4 awesome presets to help streamline your workflow. Imagine applying your favorite edits, that you apply to all images, and then let Lightroom apply them for you automatically during import! I'll also share 2 types of edits every photo should get , regardless of your personal style, and how to create/apply this preset during import . STEP 4 This is the step you've been waiting for your entire life!  Well, maybe not that long.  But, this step will help you streamline your creative process to edit faster than you ever have before.  Once you're done with this step, you'll know all my pro secrets for editing 500 images per hour .  Take the 3 different editing workflow options (worksheets included) and use as a baseline for creating your own workflow. Plus, I'll share tips on all the editing panels and tools. Learn what each panel does and my recommendations for when to use in your workflow .  You'll also learn why it's important to edit in a specific order (if not, your productivity will take a hit). 1 of the most often asked questions by my students; Where do you start the editing process? Hint; it's not in Lightroom, Photoshop or any other editing software!  Hmmm... the secret is revealed in this Lightroom Workflow Made Easy course . STEP 5 The last step involves streamlining the process of sharing your images with the world; Exporting.  You'll need to export your images to post online or to place orders for print enlargements. You will need to export your files for use on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, your blog, for print and much more.  Each of which requires different settings prior to exporting. You'll learn how to create export presets.  This is a HUGE timesaver!  We'll go through all the different settings and create a preset for use on Facebook.  Then, you'll know how to create your own for any type of output. ------------------- Once you've completed this course you'll have a solid, fast and productive workflow for Lightroom!

In part 4 of exposure, we'll explore the ISO.  You'll learn all about the good and bad of this camera setting, how it actually works and when you might need to adjust this camera setting. The next two tutorials include my secret weapon and an often overlooked camera setting.  You'll learn how to use the secret weapon for perfect exposures.  Which means you'll be able to take back creative control from your camera and manually set your settings for the exact type of photo you want.  Simple and easy with this tool.  Guaranteed.  Next, you'll learn how to see light in a way you've never done before.  This too will help you creatively and save you time while editing in Lightroom or Photoshop (or any other software). Next, we'll take all that information and bring it together in a live studio demonstration .  We'll go over every camera setting we've learned and trouble shoot how to choose which one.  Then, we'll bring those photos into Lightroom to see how our selections effect the creative outcome.  Plus, I'll share additional photography examples of what you learned. It's now time to venture outside for another photography demonstration.  I'll share with you my creative decision process for choosing specific camera settings. We'll then bring those images into Lightroom for comparison. This photography course will start off with the basics of photography;  Understanding the Exposure Triangle.  We'll also go beyond the "triangle" and learn about it's limitations and why it's so complicated. Next up, learning about what an Aperture is, Shutter Speed and (the accurate and semi-technical - that most people don't teach - explanation of) ISO. Then, you'll learn an easier way to understand (photography) Exposure (say good-bye to the Exposure Triangle) with 2 different analogies.  At this point, you'll almost be ready to start shooting manually. But first, you'll learn about a cool tool in your camera - the Light Meter.  Plus, you'll learn about the Exposure Indicator (and EV).  Both will help you nail your Exposure in-camera.  Which will help elevate your photography skills to the next level. Once you've reached this point of the photography course, you'll begin practicing what you've learned: in Manual Mode! Throughout this photography classroom, there will be additional projects and supporting documents to help you understand (and retain) what you've learned about taking awesome photos. Content and Overview  - Downloads are ENABLED for this course! The course goes right back to basics, but also covers advanced topics. Come with me on these photo sessions, and watch as I talk through the camera and flash settings and take (mostly) great photos with (mostly) gorgeous models, using a fun teaching style. Designed for beginners (although not complete beginners), through to enthusiasts and professionals, on completing this course you'll have the knowledge and confidence to start taking beautifully lit portraits that will wow your family and friends. Modesty almost forbids me publishing some comments about my teaching style, taken from reviews of some of my other courses, but I overcame that, so here they are:- Bernie is really easy to listen to, and his videos were really entertaining and kept you listening. (I also like his accent!) Many online courses suffer from over prepared, monotonic boring voice overs but Bernie's style is a bit like having your mate round to show you how to do something. This even goes to leaving some bloopers in which makes it human and fun. Bernie is a hoot! He knows his material, presents it well, and is witty to boot. It's a great combination in a teacher. I love Bernie's approach. Such a great instructor, Bernie is an excellent teacher and his enthusiasm for photography is contagious. Bernie  is a fantastic tutor, Love it, love it, love it!!

This is an image photographed at the Battleship NC, a world war II ship opened to the public, on the deck below the main deck. The room light was a shop type fluorescent light which created a dramatic difference between bright and shadow areas. I had to shoot seven exposures on a sturdy tripod to cover detail in all areas between brights and darks to digitally blend them in photoshop to recover detail in brights and darks for a normal overall exposure using Luminosity Masks. (I first photographed the Checker Passport for white balance and camera profile.) This is a five segment tutorial: Prepare images for blending. Working on brights. Working on darks. One more bright. Finishing adjustments.
